It's so much nicer here.
The app actually has a forum and a live team chat system in place WITHIN the game.
You can't throw money at the game to win, rarity in card packs better resembles actual real world booster packs. Some of you may not actually like that, since I'm sure you like the fact that you can spend to win.
Good cards can actually be obtained at chance, from the end boss of certain missions. They range from UC to HR(SR equivalent).
Combat system is completely different. Bigger emphasis on deck construction with all rarities for team and connection bonuses, rather a full deck of L+ or whatever they're called. The same way people focus on all of one alignment in MWoH, in BotA, strength comes from bonuses and one of the easiest is the team bonus(X-Men Alpha Roster, Marauders, Anti-Mutant, Black Ops X-Force, etc)
On 2 stats to boost with skill points earned through mission completion and leveling. Deck Size and Stamina. Stamina is spent on missions and is the life blood of the game. CP is the AP equivalent in that it is spent when you attack in XvX(war). It is set at 100 and can't be raised currently. Card costs vary depending on base rarity. CP is consumed after you select up to 5, which cards to attack with from a random display of 5. Using these card will disable them till are cards are used and replacing them with remaining cards. To recover CP, you can interact with your teammates, restoring 5 cp to both of you and removing them from the selection. This can be done up to 10 times a day total. The other option is to do command missions. They alternate between attacking mobs and regaining CP. They cost less than regular missions and restore CP to you at a base amount concurrent with a level range, but also have a chance to "crit" and give you extra.
Downtime between actual events and less importance on raiders, raiders can't can't be traded during event so no inflation on their value based on event effectiveness. Good teams are still good teams post event so less devaluing afterwards.
Teamwork is required for both event types currently in rotation.
Teams are only 20 members.
Team(Alliance) Wars every 4 hours called XvX. They reward you with a currency(Time Diamonds) you can spend on regular and event consumables as well as limited time package deals, certain cards, and daily items. You can get 3 extra TD every battle win or lose by building combos up to certain thresholds. 50 Atk, 50/100 Support. More on that below.
Strategy is required during XvX. Your team consists of the 5 people with the best Squads(decks) on the Strike team, and everyone else as support. Strike can attack and recover their HP. Support can attack or activate the support ability which randomly boosts a teammate's atk or def, or weakens an opponent's atk or def. When you attack, you actually damage the other team's Strike Team. When they have taken too much damage they while be knocked out. A knocked out person is GENERALLY unable to be attacked and is unable to attack anyone themselves, that's where the Recover HP ability comes into play. If you knock out your opponents entire time and they do not recover, you will be unable to attack them any further unless they are ahead in points. Even if your own strike team is down, the support is still able to attack, so even if both strike teams were down, as long as a team is ahead in points, the losing side's support team can attack freely. Attacking and using the support ability, build combos which make further attacks and supports more effective. The combo builds when team members alternate their atk or support. This is indicated by two 5min timers which reset whenever it alternates and can break, resetting to zero if another teammate doesn't take action after you within the allotted time or is unable to due to the other team being knocked out. It turns grey when you are the last person to have attacked or supported and Pink for atk/Green for support, when someone else has taken action. This ensures that one person which a good deck, couldn't rack up up a combo on their own, requiring teamwork to be effective.
The game is only a few-ish months old so everything is mostly shiny and new!
